Alex Mahoney is a dynamic saxophonist and multi-instrumentalist hailing from the vibrant New York and New Jersey music scenes. Known for his versatile performances, Alex has graced iconic venues such as The Stone Pony, The Wonderbar, Bar A, The Landis Theatre, St. George Theatre, BB King's, CBGB's, L'AMours, Arlene's Grocery, The Red Lion, many, many others in the NYC/New Jersey area. His talent extends beyond the stage, having recorded for numerous private label artists.
A seasoned performer, Alex has shared the stage with members of Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes and has opened for legendary acts like Southside Johnny, John Cafferty, White Lion, Zebra, and The Pat Travers Band, to name a few. He has also made his mark in the film world, recording the song "Rock it Steady" with the band Kill Van Kull, featured on the soundtrack of the Ethan Hawke film "Staten Island" (aka "Little New York").
Alex’s musical journey has taken him to countless outdoor festivals and concert stages, captivating audiences with his rockin' groovin' soulful saxophone playing and engaging stage presence. Whether performing as part of a band or delivering an intimate solo set, Alex brings a depth of passion and skill to every performance
